Elifantree is playing original music with vocals, saxophone and drums (and also clockenspiel, melodica and cello). The original band sound and the influence of various music styles such as electronic music, folk and pop makes Elifantree stand out from the standard category of jazz. Improvisation, wide dynamics and collective creativeness are essential in Elifantree’s music.
Elifantree has played several festivals and clubs around Europe: Sudtirol Jazz Festival (Italy), Young Generation Jazz Festival (Berlin, Germany), Mariehamn Winter Jazz Festival (Mariehamn) and Nasjonal Jazz Scene (Oslo) among othe
rs. Elifantree also shared a tour in Finland with Vincent Courtois Quartet in November 2009. The tour was managed by Charles Gil and Finnish Jazz Federation.
Both audience and critics have praised the bands highly energetic live shows.
